There is one internet cafe that I went to in February 2001 at the Puerta del Sol. It was near the corner of Calle Jeronimo. I was very satisfied with the use of the internet that I had at this place, which was below street level.

Hi Sofia, thanks for dropping back in after a long absence fro the board, loads of new material here since you last posted.

Catalina, the place Sofia is refering to is at Puerta del Sol #6 downstairs and is called "Youall Go Internet" (CLICK HERE FOR THE PHOTO) Big Grin

It costs 1 Euro for 15 minutes and I think 2 Euros per hour, making it a bit more expensive than it's competition. I personally do not like the place since it is in a basement and it si hot and a bit cramped Eeker I prefer to be at street level myself, ya get more air that way Smiler

Since there are soooooooooo many places to use the net, just look around, you will have your choice.

If you're not afraid of walking around "calle de la Montera" (just beside "Puerta del Sol") from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m., you don't need to keep on looking for a "cibercaf": go to "EasyEverything", they offer the best prices in Madrid at that time of the night (or the day,... but prices change in this place, and it is one of the most expensive places in the evenings).

There is a quite nice place on Gran Via. Its called Natura, it has Internet-section downstairs and one hour costs only 1. Connection is ok, the place is quiet & peaceful. Computers are a little bit old, but the price is just great! I come here everyday to check my mail and stuff.
Natura is located on Gran Via, from Gran Via -metro station towards Banco de Espaa.

As far as Barcelona is regarded, you may find again a couple of "EasyEverythings". One is somewhere between the "Plaza de la Universidad" (="Plaa de la Universitat") and the "Plaza de Catalua" ("Plaa de Catalunya"). The other one is in "La Rambla", close to the port (metro: Atarazanas; =metro: Drassanes). It is quite close to Santa Mnica (=Santa Monica) street.

Hi Catalina and all.

Ok, don't worry about finding Internet Cafs anywhere in Spain, you will find them even in the smaller cities and towns.

Just keep you eyes peeled when walking around and you will see many.

Thanks everyone for the tips on the internet places in Madrid.

I just arrived a few weeks ago and usually use the internet at my Spanish school since it is free for students Smiler

On weekends I use this cool one just behind the Puerta del Sol called 3w Madrid (www.portatil.net) since it is cheap (1.20 Euros per hour)

Bye - Darren.

Spain is cool!

Hey Darren, cool that you get to use the net for free at your school. Many language schools are ofering either free or low cost access to students and the ones that do not have internet access usually can get you a discount at a nearby cyber caf that they mayhave a deal with.

I have been to that Internet Caf behind Sol that you are talking about and in my opinion it is the best in town for the money.

Hi all, just wanted to tell you about an internet super deal in Madrid!

The BEST deal going right now is at an internet place called "3w.com Madrid" (no website available). They have a deal right now (not sure how long it will last) that gets you 10 hours for just 6 Euros Big Grin This while the normal price (at most places) is 1.20 Euros per hour.

It is on calle Tetun # 3, just behind the Puerta del Sol. Click the link below for a cool map Cool

If you have your own lap top, are you able to take it to the internet cafes and use their connection?
