I had been planning a school trip for April 2002. We booked 40+ travelers and then canceled the trip in November 2001 because of the terrorism and the November plane crash and all the fears that filled our travelers. Of course I am heartsick as the date for our departure inches closer.

Are there any other readers on this board that also canceled travel to Spain? How are you coping?

I can't help thinking that we would have been leaving on April 12th,2002 from JFK and that we could have seen the memorial lights that are now shinning from ground zero.

We wish we were going to Spain. Please share your story here if you too canceled a trip. Boo ho ho.

Hi Sofia, good to hear from you again. I am sorry about your trip Frowner but you are not alone, not by a long shot!

As you may know, I rent cellphones to visitors to Madrid (mostly from the U.S.A.) and in Nov., Dec., Jan. & Feb. I had a few cancellations from teachers who also had their trips cut off due to fear of terrorism but the good news is that I have noticed school groups coming back lately Big Grin

Hope your trip is rescheduled soon.
