hi jennifer, welcome to the board and congrats on your first trip to this amazing city well, don't take this the wrong way but your question is (in my opinion) about as broad as a question can be, you may want to fine-tune it into more specific areas on the many different forums here on the board. do some SEARCHES ![[search]](graemlins/search.gif) on things you are interested in or simply read through the zillions of threads here. just speaking from experience (and a LOT of it ) when i say that threads like this one (broad questions) intimidate board members and get very few responses  i will tell you that you should spend a lot of time looking around this message board as it is full of info for visitors to spain. saludos, jer... p.d. for the record, our SUNDAY AFTERNOON VOLLEYBALL GAMES come highly recommended for all visitors to madrid

Let me tell yu I have ben to many museos and been to places to eat, and the clubs aka discotecas. Well let me know exaclty how long yu will be traveling or spending time in madrid. If yu will be their on a Sunday yu can visit el rastro= large outside market place and i do mean large. El Rostro is best to go to at 10 30 in the AM and it is normally last untill 3pm. quote: you definately want to hit Retiro Park for a while! it is huge and there's nothing better than just sitting down under a giant tree and taking in the views and sounds
The views and sounds of course of the multi madrid volleyball group! Hey, and if you're lucky, like Lena, you can even get your sunglasses remodeled for free courtesy of those ever-so-accurate spikes, serves, etc. :jeje: On other days be sure to take along a blanket to Retiro and sit under the shade of the trees overlooking the large pond in front of the Palacio de Cristal. Bring along a little wine, some cheese, and biscuits and you're be set. :l:
