Hey, well, as for plays and theater, a good place to look is the Guia del ocio, which has all the entertainment stuff for Madrid in it: http://www.guiadelocio.com/madrid/ as for hotels, there is tons of great information on here, just do a search on hotel, Madrid, anything like that, and TONS of advice will come up! Hope that helps, Joy

Hey HipChick, sounds like fun to plan that trip where nothing is too expensive Hotels are as joquecalor said... Palace Ritz ... and the Aerocity limo would be a nice touch. Joy covered the play thing so what am I good for Oh yeah, soccer tickets... hmmm.... I abhor the sport but as far as I know the best place to score tickets is in person at the actual stadiums the week before they go on sale. Saludos, jer... p.d. And of course no self respecting high-end visitor to Spain would dare be without a CELL PHONE :jeje:

Hi Perita en Dulce, someone will have to check the prices there to see it they are mroe or less than the others. Hey Barhopper, thanks for the links on Hotel Santo Mauro. I have never actually been there and I think you are right, it is not as well known as the Palace and Ritz due to its location. pim, thanks, forgot about the Villamagna. Also, we can add the "HOTEL VILLA REAL" at Plaza de las Cortes #10. It is right across the Plaza from the Palace and, although not as nice, it is still a beautiful hotel. I found a site at www.luxurytravel.com/cityguides/madrid with luxury travel advice (hotels included of course). Saludos, jer...
