I have never been to Spain but am hoping to go early next year. Does anyone have any advive regarding how to go about planning a trip there? I plan to go alone... Suggestions of what to see? Where to go? When to go? I need all information you can offer!

seriously, people (including myself) have written entire books on the subject. i suggest you start perusing them...but don't buy until you are ready to go. borders and b&b will let you look for free, also your library.
in short...
--if you are wealthy and middle aged...try frommers, fodors, or DK
--if you are middle-aged and middle-salaried...try Rick Steves (he also only covers teh essential places)
--if you are a poor student or just poor--lets go and rough guide can't be beat. lonely planet is OK, but it is all over the place, hard to figure out and often wrong

your best bet is to figure where you want to go and then buy specific guides for that area.

finally....use the web, specificallly www.tripadvisor.com there forums are amazing.

here on mm....if you get suggestions it will be a wildly diverse mix as we all live here and love it here and have a much more intense knowledge of way off the beaten places that maybe a casual tourist would find boring or at least inaccessible.

hey lak_save, welcome to the board.

i agree with Candela, you need to ask more specific questions.

try researching a lot of the stuff here on the board via the SEARCH function or just entering the different forums and browsing old threads.

post specific questions on related threads you find and if you can't find what you are looking for, enter into the related forum and start a new one.

threads like this one you have started here usually never get answered by anyone (except me) so i am surprised (but pleases) that Candela posted. the problem is that with such broad questions, people are overwhelmed and intimidated and/or simply do not have the time to answer as any attempt at answering would take a year to write out.
