Would you move to Madrid in July, August, or September? From what I read here, September sounds like a lousy time to look for an apartment. Yet, won't it be impossible to find a job in July/August? I'm still leaning towards July because we'll have enough money to live and that way we can get adjusted (and polish our Spanish a bit) before the big job push in September. Thoughts?

June 28 is my date because I hear that it is a prime month for apratment finding and all and not to mention the fact that I am tired of living in the US and the job that I have.

I am looking forward to my move and starting a new life in a different country.

Good question Juliette67, each date has its ups and downs I guess as you have mentioned in your post with the job hunting -vs- apt. finding.

I am with Shawn in a way, instead of July or August, make it either June or Sept.

Remember, not all of Sept. is a bad time to find a place to live, if you get here on Sept. 1st (or even just before) you are still in good shape as landlords are coming back from vacation and wanting to rent out their apts. and students still have not quite given up the summer fun for the idea of returning to school. After mid Sept. it gets tough as all the students pour back into Madrid.
