Is it possible to find a good map of Madrid? Specificly the province of Madrid and not the city centre.
It seems like a strange question at first, as there are tons of Madrid maps available. But it's only once you've bought a couple that you realize that they only cover the city centre. Upto the M30 ring road but no further and they are basicly useless if you have a car.
What I'm after is a large book type map that you can keep in the car for Madrid. One that extends beyone the M30. I have a map of Spain and it's great if your driving to the coast but it's not detailed enough if your trying to find an address in Alcobendas or Meco or something like that. Or even trying to figure you way around all the highways that surround Madrid. (spent 30 mins trying to get back on the M40 after taking a wrong cutoff.
Surprisingly I havn't seen anything. How does one get around if you don't have a navagation system?

Also, you can get a pretty good pocket size "Guia Callejero" or "Callejero de Madrid" sort of like a Thomas guide / Street Map to carry around and take with you. They come in different sizes from "Ediciones La Libreria". The one I have was given to me by a girl who worked at a real estate agency and although she turned out to be quite a disappointment and did get one of my patented text messages I still think good of her because of how invaluable this book she gave me was and still is.
