Hola everyone!
Just wanted to share my excitement...

Pepe (my Sevillano husband) and I just booked our flights to Sevilla for Christmas. We leave December 12th and come back the 30th--thats 3 whole weekends!

We got a sweet deal with British Airways (our favorite airline Wink ). $450 each ticket, not bad, huh? We do have to spend a night in London and switch airports in London both ways, but we've done it before and it's a nice way to break up the trip from Boston. Plus the hotel at Gatwick is REALLY nice (Le Meridien) and I love an excuse to stay in a nice hotel.

So we're already starting to get booked up with all our family and friends. We were just there in April for Feria but it feels like ages! It is going to be so great to be back and have so much time to hang out and be with everyone.

I may also take this trip as an opportunity to start job hunting for our eventual move back. Anybody have any suggestions on some worthwhile activities I could do in this arena?

Well, sorry to make some of you jealous, but We're going to Sevilla!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!

Sarita Big Grin

Naw, we're thrilled for you! Sounds like a wonderful time! Big Grin

We've had good luck getting economical fares on British Air too. We take them out of Phoenix (an hour by air from our home in Albuquerque).

Be sure to keep us posted, HAVE FUN, and take pictures. (Feria is awesome, Irene and I went in '99 and loved it.)

Have a great trip Sarita!

Chico and I just booked our tickets for Christmas as well, but headed in the opposite direction! We will be spending Christmas with my family in Philadelphia! We are very excited as it will be a rare family reunion since my sister and her husband will also fly in from San Francisco. As you can imagine, its kind of tough having us all in one place at the same time!! Mom has already threatened with the mandatory family portrait! yikers!! Eeker

AHHHHHHHHHHHH 3 semana en sevilla, que bueno.
When you are there, the hotel Simon has really good rates, and it is by the Catherdral, and take a car to Arcos de la Frontera, if you can get a room at the Paradore, extremely beautiful and cheap, but, highly unlikely, being holiday time, the entire region breaks out the finest Jerez in Europe. The bodegas hide the collections in the back rooms until holiday time.

Oh, we won't be needing a hotel! We'll be staying at Hotel Fuentes Delgado: My in-laws'!! Thanks for the tip though.

Chica, have a great time with your family in Philly!

Saludos,
Sarita
