Yep, gotta understand the priorities in life! Smiler When the trip gets closer, I'll inform y'all about my space available.

Hey Paul...I'll pay you a reasonable markup if you bring me a bottle or two of KC Masterpiece - Classic!
My concept of "reasonable markup" is a caa with pals. Big Grin When I was a student there, I really appreciated it when people coming over brought me things. Smiler

Between your BBQ sauce and Jer's Aunt Jemima syrup, I'd better double-ziplock them! Big Grin (My high school English teacher would kill me for such blatant verb creation.) But hey, I work for a company that "calendarizes" project plans and "waterfalls" information to subordinates (not that I have any...) Smiler

Hey Paul, jejejejeje, you can skip the syrup this time. Carl (a freind of mine) brought me over a gallon jug-o-maple syrup a month or so ago and it should last me all year (or beyond).

In place of the syrup however, you could bring me a big family sized box of OREO DOUBLE STUFF cookies Big Grin

Saludos,
jer...

I'll be making the Costco run before I depart, so you can be assured that it will be the largest size! Big Grin

Cool Pual, cooooool Cool

At the risk of getting off topic here, ena and I went ot Costco last we were in NY (2 yrs ago) and she was overwhelmed by an airplane hangar sized store like that.

She soon got into it however as she is a woman and would never be intimidated by any store for too long Big Grin Wink Red Face

We spent a small fortun filling the extra suitcase we had to bring back goodies from the U.S.A. and she had quite a new experience shopping "al Americano" Eeker

There is a similiar (Costso, Sam's club, etc...) store here in Spain called MAKRO ( www.makro.es ) where only business/store owners can go and shop but it is not as HUGE as Costoco and she had never been.

Here's a new facet to our trip. My parents want to come too (Jer, Shawn and a few others know this because I mentioned it on last Sunday's chat). They are a blast, so it will be great.

They went to Spain in '85 and have been dying to return. They didn't get a chance to go to Granada on their last trip, so we will take the night train from Barcelona to Granada instead of Malaga, then rent a car for our trip through the Pueblos Blancos. (I'll do a search on places to stay in Granada, but if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.)

I haven't been on a trip out of the country with them since 1979, when I was 21. They are well-traveled and so active that Irene and I need to get in shape just to keep up with them. Smiler

My mom has a few medical tests in a month, then will know if they are coming.

Hi all, we are in Barcelona, leaving for Andalucia tomorrow. Ive uploaded a few pictures (one with Jer and Ena) at the site below).

After 5 days I FINALLY started feeling better today (no fun to be out of it on vacation), but have enjoyed it all nonetheless. When I find another chance to upload pictures, I will let you know

Saludos

Hi all, got back online finally (for a few minutes). We are in Ronda, has rained all day, but is starting to clear up.

Jer, is clubphoto pulling its nonsense again? Ill fix it when I get home.

Have had a wonderful trip so far, despite cold.

Hi all,

Irene and I left yesterday morning, arriving in San Diego in the afternoon. We got bumped up to business class, so it was a nice ride back. We return to Albuquerque this afternoon.

We had a great trip, visiting Madrid, Segovia, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Granada, Jerez, Ronda, and the Pueblos Blancos de Cadiz.

Renting one of Jer's cellphones was great, as was Aerocity's shuttle. It was great spending time with the Madrid gang at Caserolas, and getting the multimadrid.com tour! Big Grin Will write more later, and will post more pictures soon.

Saludos,

Paul y Irene

PS Mom and Dad did great. With all the running around we could not wear them out. They are in Madrid, and will return Thursday.
