I am taking the AVE and leaving Madrid for 3 days. Cordoba for 2 days. Sevilla 1 day. Our intention is to spend 1 whole day in Cordoba, take the AVE to Sevilla on the second day and spend 10 hours there. Back to Cordoba that night and spend another full day in Cordoba before heading back to Madrid on the third night. Here are my questions...1. We intend to take a taxi to the cathedral when we arrive in Sevilla and see the sites in and around that part of town. The cathedral, Alcazar and the barrio. I think that should fill our limited amount of time. Any suggestions concerning this approach? Anything in particular that we should not miss besides the cathdral and alcazar? 2. I spent a day in Cordoba in the past and loved it. The people I'm going with have not been there and I want them to see it. The second day that we are there, I'd like to do something in the way of a half day side trip. Any suggestions? We leave Cordoba at 7pm that night, so we do have a whole day to play with. Thanks in advance for any help.

From your message, I couldn't tell if you were planning on leaving luggage at the Cordoba train station, either when you arrive or before leaving at 7pm. If so, be sure you have change for the storage lockers. Be forewarned, the person who runs the nearby gift shop has a fit whenever someone asks her for change. (Can't totally blame her, because it seems that everyone needing change goes to her rather than wait in the train ticket line to get it...)

Well then, th gift shop lady should start charging to give people change, that would be a good way to either keep people from asking for it or to make it worth her while Big Grin

Yes, I think the only way RENFE would resolve the problem is if they see someone (else) making money off of it! Roll Eyes

I will be leaving my things in my room in Cordoba for the day. I intend to take an empty backback to Sevilla for the day. I have a room in Cordoba for two nights. Is anyone familiar with Hotel Triunfo, near the Mezquita?
