I am currently living in San Sebastin, and my parents would like to visit over Easter vacation. Im not yet sure if they will be coming here or if I will meet them in Madrid.

I am concerned because they plan to be here for Holy Thursday, Friday, Easter, and the following week. I am new here, but I suspect that these days are pretty important to Spaniards and I imagine that most places will be closed.

I figure that trying to go to any tourist attraction on these days would be pointless. Do you know if any restaurants are open on Easter? Im afraid Im being naively hopefull here [Embarassed] )

I would love any information or opinions you have. Buenas!

hi ShannonUR, it depends on what you mean by "places". while a religious holiday time of year, easter is not a shut everything down type of holiday (at least not in most large to mid-sized cities).

restaurants and bars will especially be open during that time.

saludos,
