Hey mach5, the only pool I know in La Latina is in the public gym at the Plaza de la Cebada (right off the La Latina Metro) and it is an indoor covered pool. I do not know the name of it though As for La Latina, I personally love the neighborhood (it is a 10 minute walk south of where I live now) but unfortunately, lately there have been a lot of Spaniards moving away from there due to the increasing number of "gitanos" and Latin American immigrants. It is not too expensive to rent/buy there either Your commute to the Complutense campus would not be that bad (about 30-40 minutes total). You get the #5 (green) line at "La Latina" and take it to "Callao" where you change to the #3 (yellow) line which takes you to "Moncloa". There are loads of busses at that point to take you to the campus in less than 10 minutes. My recommendation, live in La Latina if you want and commute. You can also live in the Argelles/Mocloa areas which are nice and closer to the Complutense but further from the city center. Saludos, jer...
