Hola,

I'm leaving Madrid for New Zealand next month and I need to find a mover to ship some household items. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks,

Hi Boricua, this may not be much help but if I were you I would box things up and ship them myself via the Spanish Postal Service (Correos y Telgrafos - www.correos.es ).

See the thread by polly HERE entitled "Sending stuff from Spain".

She too is from New Zealand and is heading back soon.

Basically my expeience has lead me to steer clear of the "removals" companies here as they are VERY expensive and seem to have their businesses geared towards the high-end executive who's company is paying for the move (not the case for most of us).

I would sell the really big items (furniture, large appliances, etc...) that you may have and just pack up and send the small stuff via "Correos" and the looooooong boat home Big Grin

Saludos,
jer...
