From what I have been told, March to October is the principal "bull-fighting" season in Spain......and matches do occur on the weekend's, particulary Sunday late afternoon/evening.......and the most famous ring in the world (next to the Maestranza in Seville) is "Las Ventas" in the capital........
. So, can any of you provide me with some advice or any other tips about this?
. I have found this website for ticket reservation....I have not looked at it clearly yet, but events are scheduled from the first sunday in March.
There are many threads on bullfights, you will get some good results, especially the "TOROS EN MADRID" THREAD
That ticketstoros.com website seems a bit unecessary as it is easy to score tickets to most fights (as long there is not a special "feria" going on).
I have not checked pricing at the Las Ventas bullring this year but that website's prices look higher, surely they have a markup (not to mention the 3 HANDLING FEE).
My advice is to go and get the tickets yourself. Unless you are arriving the day of the fight and will be rushed, there is no reason to reserve (again, as long there is not a special "feria" going on).
Thank you knowledgeable Jeremy........I wont reserve any tickets on-line.......but at least I can see which toreros are scheduled to perform on that day.........I'm looking forward to it.

Last summer I went to see a bullfight at Las Ventas and I went there two days before to buy tickets. Remember to choose the right area where you want to sit (probably not a problem now, since it's primavera and not that hot - but in the summertime, go for "sombre" if not you will be fried in the sun!!!
My bullfight story The same day that I was going to the bullfight, a friend (spanish) asked me if I would go to a movie with him that night. I wanted to impress him a bit, so I answered him in Spanish; No, no puedo. Voy a una corrida por la noche. First he was silent, then he asked me; do you mean corrida de torres? I said; Yes, that's what I said - didn't I? Then he said, you must always say "corrida de torres" and not only "corrida". You just told me that you could not meet me tonight because you are going to have an orgasm
And now every time when I meet some of his frinds, I have to tell them the embarrasing "corrida" story. :b:
