Hi Booklady and all others soon on their way to the promised land
The weather is in fact what CNN has reported but yesterday and the day before we were hit with a thick "niebla" ("fog") here in Madrid which has burned off by now and today it is about 11C (52F) and not a cloud in the sky. My being from NY this is a veritable heat wave

and the cold here is not a wet cold and humidity is low.
16 days, very cool

You must be PSYCHED!
Snow? Only if you go to the Sierra outside of Madrid. They have been getting good amounts of the fluffy stuff but here in the city it hardly ever snows. In fact, in the last 5 years the only snowfall was last year when we got a 10 minute snow dusting and nothing stuck at all
Snow is one of the things I miss inthe city since I was used to big snowfals in NY. In fact, I shot a brief video clip of the last pathetic flurry here and you can see it by clicking the link below:
Click here for my Snow in the Plaza Mayor Video (.MPEG format - visible on any PC - very high quality video - 1MB file size). Best if you expand the viewing windo to fill the screen once the movie opens.
