Hey franto..., I think member "Melinda" has a good friend in Lloret and has spent a lot of time there, Mel???

I personally have been there once but for a few hours and at night, we stopped there on a Catalu�a tour years ago.

My opinion will be "tainted" since I was only there for a few hours to grab a bite to eat and at night but it seemed like one of MANY Costa Brava beach towns (I have been to others).

It looked nice enough place for a vacation (if ya can't make it to Madrid that is

)

Have a good time and I hope other members can offer more insight on Lloret.

Yeah I used to live in Lloret. I can tell you about the VILLAGE but since I lived there, I don�t know too much about hotels.

Just came back from Royal Beach Hotel after 2 weeks on the 25th july. LLorett itself is a very lovely place but the hotel isnt the best ive been in. I cant fault on the cleanliness of the place it was very very clean, but the food was quite bad really, and some of the bar staff were not very friendly either, granted they do a very hard job, but they could be happy once in a while!
I wouldnt go back to this hotel unless they done something about the food, and i think they over pack the hotel too, sometimes you couldnt get movred in there it was like a cattle market. The entertainers are really great people but the entertainment itself needs re-thinking i think.

I've been to LLorett de Mar and thought it was a lovely place. It had a nice village/shopping area and delightful church... which when I was there over Christmas, it looked a picture. Nice place to visit at Christmas rather then maybe Salou, which is all Hotels and nothing else.

We too went into lloret town many times and in the middle of all the shops and side streets was the most quaint little church, it was really a picture i agree, lloret is a very nice place to go in summer, i would love to see it in the winter too!
