Well, the above storm hit us well and truly last night The scariest night of my life, and really made me think about how lucky I was not to have been caught up in Katrina. I have spent all day trying to clear up all the debris, and find things that are missing, but it is a thankless task and I actually don´t know where to start it is so confusing. It seems impossible to clear anything, as the rain keeps coming and undoing anything I have done so far.
At least it seems that everyone here is safe, which is a blessing. And thanks Chica for the message!

madsue--I'm glad to hear that you are safe and (relatively) sound. Sounds scary!
I don't watch TV, so I'm clearly out of the loop... I had no idea there was a tropical storm hitting the Canaries. Isn't this a bit out of the ordinary? Where is the storm headed now?

Thanks Roland, have given up for today trying to put the earth and picon back in the fields rather than having it in my house!!!! I have managed to get out the submersible pump, but as I have no idea whatsoever how to work it, looks like the water will stay where it is!!!
