Sorry, I know this is probably the wrong forum, but couldn't figure out where to stick it.
Hubby and I are going to be moving back to the U.S. in a few months. I would like to get a bank account open over there, but am having an awful time trying to do it since they all require a U.S. address.
I did find Wells Fargo IPB, but their requirements are not looking right to me. I see here that they say if you open a bank account, you also have to apply for a credit card and auto loan. That can't be right.
Anyway, has anyone done this? How did you manage?
Thanks!

just one question, you have no relatives in the u.s.a. whose address you can use?
Unfortunately, nay on the relatives.

why (if it may be known) would you move back?
Well, to simplify it, hubby and I run our own business and it's just getting too expensive to live here. Almost all of our clients are in the U.S. and the falling dollar is becoming painful. And well, I'm homesick! I haven't been able to visit for the last 7 years and I miss it.
