A friend of mine learned to type using the free website: www.cursomeca.netIt's good... just like how I learned to type in high school. I would, however, recommend covering the top part of the screen with a piece of cloth or something (a picture of the keyboard is displayed - not very helpful for developing memory).

I like that site I disagree that the keyboard on the screen should be covered. Its the keys on your own keyboard that need to be covered IMO That is how I was taught in college. We had blank keys on our typewriters, and had to look straight ahead at a picture of a keyboard tacked up on the wall and feel our way around our typewriters!!! That way you will memorise the correct fingers for the keys, and eventually be a touch typist and not need to look at the keyboard at all.
