Hi all -

I have no idea where to post this question, so in miscellaneous it will go!

I'm looking for some software (Windows) for someone who wants to learn/practice typing/mecanografía - in Spanish. They don't speak any English, so programs like Mavis Beacon won't work - plus they're designed for English keyboards and not Spanish ones. FNAC and El Corté have some, but I have no idea which is best. Has anyone ever bought/used such software, and if so - can you tell me the name and where you got it? I'd also be willing to pay to make a copy of yours if you wouldn't mind.
Thanks a bunch!!

A friend of mine learned to type using the free website:

www.cursomeca.net

It's good... just like how I learned to type in high school.

I would, however, recommend covering the top part of the screen with a piece of cloth or something (a picture of the keyboard is displayed - not very helpful for developing memory).

I like that site big grin

I disagree that the keyboard on the screen should be covered. Its the keys on your own keyboard that need to be covered IMO big grin That is how I was taught in college. We had blank keys on our typewriters, and had to look straight ahead at a picture of a keyboard tacked up on the wall and feel our way around our typewriters!!! That way you will memorise the correct fingers for the keys, and eventually be a touch typist and not need to look at the keyboard at all.
