To all the Brits out there who miss the homeland....and anyone who wants a taste of London's markets....there was an ungodly racket emanating from the Plaza de la Paja last night....and sure enough this morning we found a whole set of buildings and archways had been constructed in the Plaza. Apparently Beefeater is sponsoring a London market day tomorrow, supposedly bringing the best of the London markets to Madrid. We saw a massive stage set up as well as a bar and food stuffs (kebabs prominently advertised), red telephone boxes and faux arches set up. It's happening tomorrow (not sure what time, but there are posters everywhere that promise stuff to buy direct from the markets of Portobello, Covent Garden and Camden Town as well and refer you to a www.londonize.com site).
