Hi gang, been working on this.
As you may know by now, Raquel has most generously
offered up her place to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner this year in Madrid on Nov. 28th
Her apt. is not huge and not tiny but just right so we can only really get 20 in for the funfest.
This is going to be first come first serve (literally :) so e-mail me at
jeremy@multimadrid.com if you are in. I will advise on this thread when the party is full up.
This will be what we Americans call a "potluck dinner". It consists of each person preparing a plate and bringing it to the dinner to share with all who attend.
So, when you e-mail me, also tell me what dish you wish to bring for the dinner. The Mega Turkey and drinks are already taken care of by Me, Ena, Carmen and Raquel but all other guests should prepare at least 1 plate each aside from that.
Some suggestions:
Mashed potatoes with gravy (absoultely nesessary).
 Stuffing (absoultely nesessary).
 Sweet potatoes.
 Normal salad.
 Pumpkin pie and other pies.
Green beans, glazed carrots or other veggie dishes.
 Some type of soup.
 Rolls with butter.
 Ice cream (for the pies).
Other suggestions are welcome!!!
Can ya tell this is a list for the "Typical Thanksgiving Dinner"
Rememberm we will be 20 people so prepare the dishes accordingly.
IT IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU ARE 1,000,000% SURE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO ATTEND SINCE THE POTLUCK DINNER ITSELF REALLY DEPENDS ON THE GUSETS.
Please keep an eye on this "Thanksgiving in Madrid" thread on the board for updates.
I have created a list of the RSVPs at
www.multimadrid.com/thanksgiving.txt .
Please let me know via an e-mail to
jeremy@multimadrid.com...
1) If you are ABSOLUTEL, POSITIVELY, DEFINITELY
coming?
2) How many you are?
3) What dish you plan to cook & bring with you? PLEASE SEE THE CURRENT LIST
HERE FOR DISHES THAT ARE ALREADY COVERED.
... before days end on Monday, Nov. 25th.
Saludos,
jer...
NOTE!!!: Raquel is having problems with her oven and it will not be available for use. She has a micowave but just in case, it is a good idea to bring all "hot food" so that it stays as warm as possible for as long as possible (i.e. tupperware, etc...).
