Jejejejeje :jeje: Yeah Candela, and I thought ena was an angel just for putting up with me day in and day out. Hmmmmmmm... I only counted 7 leftover bottles of wine in the morning (NO, I was not hung-over ) so me thinks guests took bottles home with them. quote: Who made the sweet pots with marshmellows???
Chad gets that credit as well My special thanks to Chad as well, a huge help in the kitchen, and he did not even need to put an apron on like I did. A true master caterer Well, we could not have had a nicer group of people at Thanksgiving All the food was INCREDIBLE!!! Gotta go, turkey samich in the oven heating up Saludos, jer... p.d. "Chico", glad you made it this year

Add Sam & Anissa (half Spanish ) and our "token Cubanita" Lena :jeje: and MORE THAN HALF of those at dinner were Spaniards  Mara, congrats on you new home!!! Careful about what you offer to host, I just may hold ya to it Saludos, jer...

All Thanksgiving get togethers should be held at Jer's place. Trooping up and down those stairs (30-40 floors at least) is sure to work off the excess pounds. Thyglow (20 pounds less than when last we met)

The word guiri is a word that Spaniards use to refer to " US" the foreigners... It's pronounced like the adjective 'giddy' in English. At least, that's my take on it. Though it's generally a pejorative term, I kind of like it and it doesn't offend me as it can, in some cases, be used an affectionate term. It all depends on who's saying it and how they're saying it. poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... Un ambiente para aprender ingls... (An English Learning Environment)

Gringa! I hope you have tried this diet before!!! Boiling a head of cabbage for two hours really leaves a wonderful smell in the house!

Hi there, I too want to thank Jer, Ena, and everyone else that contributed to such incredible "food-feast". And....I want Candy, Becky, Juliette and Desha to PLEEEEEEEASEEE post the recipes for their super-yummy dishes (the carrots, the rolls, the beans, and the mushrooms....) To me the cutest thing was seeing how some folks "broadcasted" their greetings to their respective relatives back in the US, live from Madrid's Plaza Mayor through the webcam. Jer, I must say I didn't fully realize how succulent your turkey was -among all that great food!- until I ate the leftovers you gave me for breakfast the next day,....mmmmm, estaba buensimo!!! :l:

Maybe in the US but with the irresistible gastronomy in Spain that diet would be IMPOSSIBLE to follow :jeje: Besides, we should all learn to love our excess kilillos --> www.antena3tv.com/migordabella :ks: Saludos, jer...
