I'm perfectly willing to toast to those of you who are abroad at least three times and also wouldn't mind heeding specific, personal requests for individual, personalized toasts for anyone else who would request me to do so. I mean, come on...it's for the collective good of all multimadridians...You've gotta believe in a cause..! :jeje: :jeje: :jeje: :jeje: poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... JEREMY!!!, You forgot the cranberry sauce!, but that's good, 'cause, actually, since I don't have an oven OR time to prepare anything other than sandwiches during the working week, I'll get THAT!. 'Me lo pido, me lo pido'!, and maybe some nice cream for the super-yummy pumpkin pies as well, or something.... I'm also thinking of bringing Chloe, so Anissa doesn't feel like she's the only kid there ....Raquelita, what do you say? I can't wait to taste that turkey :l: ! pim P.S.:Raquel, you're so generous!

Hi pim, yikes! Sorry, I already have the cranberry sauce covered, that is why I did not list it (goes hand in hand with the Turkey). Also, have a look at THE LIST as the ice cream is taken care of by Chica & Chico (along with the pies ). Ok, I think you could do a salad in a flash, very easy to prepare even for a working gal like you What do you think? Rolls and butter is also pretty easy to do. Of course Chloe is very welcome but let me know ASAP for 11 of the 20 spaces are already filled. Saludos, jer...

Tony my man!!! Thanks! Tell Mari that she has saved my ass, I thought I was going to have to do the mashed potatoes as well as the turkey As for your dish, no BarBQ ribs nor KC masterpiece at Thanksgiving buddy Seriously though, if you guys just do the mash for 20 and extra gravy for the turkey as well it will be plenty. Saludos, jer...

Yikes! I am not sure where we will get that stuff for 20 Will have to work on it. Maybe I can go to a "todo a 100" store and buy a bunch of plates, forks, knives, etc... cheaply enough. If I do, I would devide the expense amongs all 20 of us and everyone could pay me at the dinner. As for the hour for meeting, I was thinking at 8pm, what do you think? If we meet at your place at 8:00 dinner could happen around 9pm. Saludos, jer...

Hey people! PLEASE, can I be in charge of "the utensils" (if I'm allowed to bring really nice fake ones that is ![[Embarassed]](redface.gif) )? (Gee, if I do, I'll feel a little bit like Friends' Phoebe when at one particular party she was in charge of cups !) I'll also try to bring a salad, but I want it to be "Thanksgivingish" and I have no clue....mmm...let's see....I know! I'll do a Martha Stewart's research , he, he!

Thanks pim, I have put you on THE LIST for utensils, plates, napkins, etc... The utensils can be fake, as long as they are not plastic I am going to make my special jeremy apple & carrot salad so another thanksgivingish salad would complete the salad menu We gonna have a ball!!! Saludos, jer...

Two things:
- 1) Time: Can I request that we please start more at 8pm for the little ones? I don't know if Anissa will be able to make school on Friday, but I'd be happy if she did. For that reason, it'd be best if we started at 8 if that's ok for everyone else.
- 2) Recipes: pim...Ok, if you're Phoebe, I'm Joey, because I'm having the same 'what do I cook?
' dilemma. I found a cool looking web page for Thanksgiving recipes. Check it out: ThanksgivingRecipe.com . Check it out as it might have something of use for you and I.

Ok you guys (tonytorero & pim), is my hard work all for nothing? Once again I am going to have to refer you to... THE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LISTTHE LIST... for what people are already bringing. Special attention to the first on the list (raquel) and what she is bringing (drinks) Been up since day 1 you wackoooos!!! Geeeeeeeeeeeeesh!!! quote: "Jer, I'd love to make the buns, but I don't have an oven,"
Hey pim, I did not mean make them but rather simply to buy them and bring them along. While everyone loves a pair of nice toasty buns , Raqeul will not have an oven so we have to make due wirh room temp. rolls. Whipped cream is always a winnner!!! quote: "I have just been told I'll be about to be unemployed by Thanksgiving day"
Do not fret, we shall cheer ya up !!! Tony, I think the "drinks" were going to be wine, soft drinks, juices but eggnog would be cool Saludos, jer...

THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST THE LIST
Oh, you mean the list that shows that Mari, Anissa and I aren't bringing anything... Sorry G...you asked for it! The reason I thought about eggnog was that it's pretty 'un-typical' here in Espain... Besides, I prepared it for one of my adult classes last year and they really liked it. P.S. jer: a suggestion for 'Da List...Add the 'wish-list' of items that would 'be nice to have' that you'd included in the first list. That'd be easier than having to return to the thread and consult it... poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... Un ambiente para aprender ingls... (An English Learning Environment)
