Hi, I believe that you still can exchange pesetas for Euros. All banks used to do this, but now it is done ONLY at the Bank of Spain. The Bank of Spain is located in the center near Cibeles on the Castellana. It even has its own metro stop right near "Banco de España". The exchange rate was absolutely fixed for last several years. Therefore, you need to divide pesetas by 166.386. Therefore, dividing 6,000 by 166.386, they will give you 36.06 Euros!!! Good luck, Val
