hey all, my friends at Democrats Abroad Madrid are sponsoring a free speech this Wednesday given by a former Spanish journalist who covered Israeli-Palestine conflict for several years. you don't have to be a democrat to come to the meeting.
oh...and it will be in English.

JULIO DE LA GUARDIA, current International Relations Coordinator at the PSOE Federal HQ will be speaking about the collapse of the Peace Process in the Middle East and the outbreak of the so-called Al Aqsa Intifada, that he covered as correspondent of the Cadena SER (2000-2003) and then as free lance for El País and other media of the PRISA Media Group (CNN+, Localia TV, 2003-2004). Working for the Zapatero Administration since july 2004 he was sent as spokesman of the European Union Border Assistance Mission in the Rafah border crossing (first semester of 2006) where he worked close to the Office of US Security Coordinator, Gen. Keith Dayton. He will be speaking about the current situation in Israel and Palestine, and Spanish Middle East Policy as well.
