hey wendy. if it is not illegal in the city (and i think it is), many "comunidades de vecinos" will have a clause about not allowing barbqs in the building statutes. you should start there. find out who is the president of the comunidad and ask. also, call on 010 (info for the madrid town hall) and see if they know if it is illegal. saludos, jer... p.d. if the "nosy random vecina" is the president of the comunidad then you are probably out of luck.

has nothing to do with the country. no right-minded country would allow Qs in the center of a major city on an apt. terrace since if a spark flies, the entire block (or many blocks) could easily burn. saludos, jer...
