I've done a bit of research into electronics recycling in Madrid but most of it just turned up options for recycling old computers. It seems the rest of the electronic junk (PDAs, cables, webcams, etc) has to be dropped off at the "puntos limpios".
I've tried searching for their locations online but I can't seem to find them. Does anyone know where there is a "punto limpo" in Madrid? Yeah, yeah, I know. A clean spot in Madrid, that's like asking for a warm spot in Antartic.

Yeah, right. Well, sarcasm aside, it does take a bit of googling to find them, I think the easiest one for you to get to is the Latina one, which is on Parque de la Cuña Verde, I was already looking out for that place because I go walking/running in that park so I knew one existed there: - Latina. C/ Concejal Francisco José Jiménez Cuenca, frente a C/ Gutarrendura. If you want to look up the website where I found it: http://www.madrid.org/comun/inforjoven/0,4652,195895601...61_12318901_,00.html There's lots of info there including the kinds of things you can recycle and how much you can take in and stuff like that. Interesting.
For people looking for free stuff, it is also a good group to join as people are always posting messages about furniture and things they are giving away. All in the spirit of keeping the landfills unfilled with recyclable things!
