Practice is going ahead this sunday ( same location ) at 14.30 . Those of you who came last week , please come again and those of you thinking about coming , please do and shoot some hoops  . In a month or so practice may have to move inside a sports hall due to poor weather conditions . I have found a couple of basketball leagues and to enter you need a team of at least five ( although we would need more ) so that could be something to aim for . IF IT IS RAINING DON'T BOTHER TURNING UP .

hey tbb003. also, don't forget to get your strength up since after bball, we continue with vball ( vball thread)  if you are arriving on the 20th, the 23rd (sunday) will be the first games you can make. quote: I am going to try to make it to play ball if I can get my apartment situation wrapped up.
i would say you should make the ball games even if you do not have an apt. set yet because... 1) it is a sunday and you will find it hard to do anything apt. search related on sundays since most peeps are out and not into showing flats on THE day of rest. 2) you just may meet someone at bball or vball that has a room available, knows someone who does, is also looking for a flatshare, etc... you would be surprised by the amt. of people there in your same situation. saludos, jer...

Looks like the basketball league may not be available untill next September  . I will keep looking though .

Basketball practice goes ahead this Sunday at 14.30 as usual ( see 1st post for directions & a bit further down for attachment for map ) . Definately worth coming down if you like basketball as there is always a group looking for a game . Free beer ! That's right , there will be the regular supply of free beer if you fancy it and I willbe able to play from now on ( and not still hungover from the night before ) due to my new work and social commitments . Hoping for a pick up in regular numbers next month as a couple of ads are going in the local papers and I will be bringing some training ideas to practice to help us but especially to help those who are novices or who have not played the game for a while . Hope to see you there ! TEFLESP P.S - Rain stops practice .
