I'll ask my question here but feel free to move it somewhere else. In my travels through yahoo I ran across a reference to an American Women Married to Spaniards Club. I cannot find out anything else about it, like a telephone number or email. Back when I was researching Paris, I found a similar group who were very helpful about schooling. Two possible ways to find this group could be either the Newcomer's 34 91 3520678 or the American Women's Club 34 9 14 57 11 08. I am hopeful you can track this group down for me and anyone else in my situation, which is that it appears we have liftoff for next summer to transfer to Madrid. All provided the economy behaves as predicted, that is.

Well, you must have missed the e-mail I sent out announcing my new classifieds section at www.multimadrid.com/classifieds I also posted on it in the "jeremy's multimadrid.com" forum as I do when I add something new to the web.

There is an entire (and long) section on "clubs-general" under the "clubs" section that I think you will find helpful

The newcomers club and others are indeed there but the tel. #s you have for them are wrong, mus tbe old #s.

In the section you will find:

ENGLISH-SPEAKING WORKING MOTHERS
BILINGUAL SOCIAL CLUB

Oh... and this whopper under the "desperately seeking" section:

"I�M EXPECTING MY BABY IN DECEMBER. Are there any English-speaking mums to be in a similar situation or with young babies to share experiences? Also looking for baby equipment. Please call Patricia 91 447 62 50"

Now if that is not what you are looking for I do not know what is Maybe the two of you can even start a new club (even if your kids are older).

You may also want to try the classifieds in the "Madrid" section of www.spainalive.com . They have a "social/personal" section that usually has stuff like this in it.
