hi, thanks and welcome to multimadrid. one thing, in order for me to leave this here, you will need to tell us more such as... · at what other holiday gyms it can be used? · how much you want for it? · what it includes (full access any time, any day to the whole gym? or is it restricted?). · how much per year (or per 6 months) renewal will be in december? · etc... saludos, jer...

here's more info- i bought the gym membership for 336euros in the middle of december. this was a yearlong membership. so whoever buys it would have 6.5 months on it from the beginning of June. i'm negotiable on the selling price, but was thinking around 125euros. the membership is for complete fulltime access to the gym- can't remember what time it opens-but its relatively early, and i know it stays open until midnight. it doesn't close midday like many of my friends' gyms in spain. my membership only allows me entrance into the holiday gym near lista (on Jose Ortega y Gasset), but if someone were interested in membership at another holiday I know you can upgrade the membership to 'gold' status which allows you access to any of Holiday's gyms. i'm not sure what the price is on this. might be possibility of changing membership to another gym too, but then would have to go through Holiday management and don't know what extra costs would be associated. Membership includes access to the club, all fitness classes (including spinning, ritmos caribenos, pilates, yoga, cardio, step, group weight lifting, contemporary dance, salsa, etc.- they have a class for EVERYTHING!), use of free weights, machine weights, stationary exercise machines (elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, treadmills, stairsteppers, rowers, etc.), use of pool, sauna, locker room, showers. They also offer massage therapy (this costs extra, but rates are awesome- something like 30 euros gets you an hour- can't remember exactly). any more questions, let me know! i'm very negotiable with this- just want to get it sold before i head out of town back to the states!

hey Holly, the one that "gymmemtosell" is selling above (if it is not already sold) is for use at the "lista" gym only. as he/she said, you would have to upgrade to use the other ones. as for the other locations, you can get a look at all of them on their website... www.holidaygym.es (just click the "gimnasios" link on the main menu). saludos, jer...

ok, got some more info on this. something told me it was not gonna be as easy as buying the membership from you, remember, this is spain i talked to cristina at the gym at ortega y gasset and she told me... 1) to transfer the membership over, normally both people involved (person transfering and person receiving) have to go in with the membership card and other forms of id. there is a transfer fee of 85 euros plus a 15 euro fee for the new membership card off the record, she said that if the transferer is not present (in this case for example), the transferee would have to sign for him/her. 2) once the 85 euro fee is paid and the form filled in, the new owner can use the membership until its expiration at that gym. if one wants to change to another holiday gym location, there are 2 options... a) wait for the membership to come up for renewal and just renew, choosing a new location as your gym. or b) change the location as soon as you want. to do this, there is another 30 euro fee (15 for admin. fee and 15 for a new membership card for the new location). you need to write a letter telling them why you want to change holiday gym locations, for example stating that due to your home address, the ortega y gasset gym is not conveneint for you. i also asked how much a normal, start from-scratch membership is there and she said it runs 344 euros per year right now. so, the problem is the 85 euro transfer fee which would make a great deal quite expensive i know you had no idea about this but i did my homework and was shocked. even if you gave the membership away for like 50 euros, the 100 euro fee (85 tranfer and 15 for the new card) would bring it up to 150 euros (300/year) and a new from-scratch membership for a year would run only 44 euros more at 344 euros (there is no sign-up fee). so, you can see the problem. saludos, jer...
