Hey Arnie, you meanie you Anyway, 20 photographers for 6 months at 30 work days/month would certainly get you that figure if they were doing this back in the U.S.A. where a 7 day work week is the norm but this is Spain so: 20 X 300 X 120 (20 work days per month X 6 months) gets me 720,000,000 photos. Still off by 20,000 but I guess those were the ones that came out badly so they did not count them Viva Espaa! Just puting you in your place "member # 95" Teach you to doubt the multimadrid webweaver extraordinair When you have over 925 posts under your belt you can do the same, jejejeje! Saludos, jer... p.d. Sue, I hear that Barcelona is in the works, get those Gaud street names & #s ready

Wait a minute Jer....In the text of your message, you say you have 925 posts under your belt...But now that I'm reading the post only a few minutes later and you have 927. I'm smelling something fishy man... Are you padding your number or do you have some elaborate post-bot there hooked up or something? Maybe you can hook me up too??? Sorry man.....Like Arnie, I too apparently have nothing better to do. Oh well, maybe I'll get out to the shopping centers since it's the first Sunday of the month. Maybe I can find a good deal on a CD burner.... Be good! poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... Un ambiente para aprender ingls... (An English Learning Environment)

Hey Tony, I am always good my man Hmmmm... I will have to put you in your place too I guess. In my post above I say quote: "When you have OVER 925 posts under your belt..."
Special attention to the word over I wish I could tweak that post number but this darn forum software does not have that option, believe me I looked long and hard Saludos, jer... p.d. "Suerte" with your burner search, I have seen them for under 20,000 pesetsas these days.

Back to the fotos site. There may be a few people that do not know you can make up phony address to get onto a street and then keep klicking down the street. The map will move with you. The other day I got on Odonnell starting at #10 and clicked myself right out of town. Since the streets go everywhere it is nice to have a real map at hand so you wont get lost on your mini tour. Nice one Tony. Jer,which of the three groups are you in?

Good point Arnie, most people do not realize that the map onthe right side of those pages is also clickable to jump from street to street. Truly an amazing piece of web work that site is. As for the 3 groups of people, I am in a league (and therefore a group) of my own my friend You should know that by now! Saludos, jer...

Thanks for the cool site, Jer! Estupendo! We just looked up where my daughter's friend lives, and are looking forward to a visit when college is over for her...in a couple of years. Are they going to get every street in Madrid? I tried to look up a couple that aren't in the system yet. Any other cities in Spain coming soon to a computer monitor near you, do you know? Thanks again, have a great day! Pearl
God Bless!

I live in a southwest suburb of Central Madrid and I haven't been able to find my own street as well as streets in other suburbs outside of the technical 'downtown' area. Though, to be honest with you, considering the sheer size of Madrid, the simple achievement of doing the part that they've done is incredibly immense. I can't even imagine what it must have been like for the people who undertook this task. See further up in this posting thread. I believe it's Jer who mentions other cities done in France as well as plans for other Spanish cities. (e.g. Barcelona, Valencia, etc.) If I find my street on there one of these days, I'll repost so that you can recheck the other one's that you are looking for. poseso.... Hey tonytorero, I love it when you guys actually read my posts Yes indeedy beadbird, as tonytorero said, above in a post of mine I mention cities that have been done and cities to come. Also, I need to give tonytorero credit for introducing us to that amazing QDQ site, I had no idea about it till he started this thread. beadbird, how can you wait 2 whole years to come back to Spain tonytorero, I doubt they will do the burbs of Madrid because QDQ is a phone guide for central Madrid and as far as I know is only delivered here in the city. So, they may keep to their image of the city only and cover just that without going to the suburbs. You will have to learn how to get home on your own Saludos, jer...

Thanks, Tony and Jer! Tony, the street I'm looking for is probably in your neck of the woods, so I'll try and keep a lookout for your discovery of your area on the map. Jer, there's two reasons for the two year delay: a) College Tuition and expenses for the kid--our A-1 priority in life! and b) the nutzos on tv never pick the correct numbers in the lotto--the ones matching those on my tickets! Off for more virtual fun checking out streets where I enjoyed shopping in Madrid. If I see any nice places for future shopping adventures, I'm going to make a note of that, too. Hasta luego! Pearl

Hey all. Actually Jer, QDQ does make make it ALLLL the way out to Villaviciosa de Odn (say that 3 times fast) where I live. Though, as I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee in my hands 'ere so comfortably at work, I'm not sure if it's a regional version for South Madrid. With the incredible response our English Center has gotten to the yellow pages, I'm kicking myself for not taking out a full page add in both... (check us out and make any suggestions or whatnot on the web at: http://www.englishunlimited.net ) Sorry for the shameless marketing Jer. I'm just trying to promote the site a bit. Be good.... poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... Un ambiente para aprender ingls... (An English Learning Environment)

Hey tonytorero, not to worry, "all marketing is shamelesss" but it has to be done I am not one of those anal webmasters who does not allow the mention of peoples sites on mine, as long as it is discreet and tactfull. Besides, I don't think you will get any clients from my site since my visits are 80% form the U.S.A. (although a good 10% come from Spain). Saludos, jer...

Cool my man....Thanks. Actually, I need and rely on that 80% as well because, as we grow, I want to fish for potential, qualified English teachers as well as individuals living in the UK, USA, Australia, etc. who are interested in exploring the possibility of cultural exchanges with our students in their home countries as well as here in Spain. That's how I'm learning Spanish (by living here) and we believe that this philosophy will be beneficial to our own students who want to see English as more than a 'subject' and as more of viable vehicle that will help take them into the future. Ohhhhhh, there I go again. Consider it a public service announcement. Besides, we're not trying to develop a monstrous unitary, mass-marketed system to learn English as some do. We want us and everyone else who teaches English around here to focus on it in a different manner. I'll shut up now.... Enjoy the QDQ site everyone... poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited...
