I am seeking a 28 year old German girl from Berlin currently living in Madrid. We met recently on a flight from Berlin to Mallorca (on her way back to Madrid), but failed to exchange contact details.
She is currently working, or trying to find work, as a Freelance Jounalist using her language skills of German, French and Spanish mainly in Internet based newpapers etc.. All I know is that her parents live in an area of Berlin called Prenzlauer Berg, she has a sister, is formerly from East Germany/Berlin and she plays the violin.
She recently on the 9th April returned to Madrid from a break in Berlin, she rents a small flat in Madrid (sub-let by a person from Argentina during her Berlin break), but may utlimately sometime in May decide to return to Berlin.
It is likely that she is not mixing with an English speaking crowd, as her English is not I think so strong (we spoke German), but does anyone reading this know of, or know a clever way how better to get in contact with, this person?
Info., suggestions, help all appreciated.
And yes if you are now wondering why - I liked her and would like to meet her again!
Have you tried the 'Broadsheet' office ? If she wants to work as a journalist she might have sent them her cv. Failing that you could always put an ad in the classified section of the magazine, if she's looking for work she probably reads the classifieds. Just an idea !

Fiona - many thanks that is some good info., however a question - sorry! Any chance that you know the contact details of the 'Broadsheet' office? Do they have an internet site? If I were to place an ad in a magazine (i.e. like the Madrid version of London's 'Time-out'), which one should I choose? Thanks once again.
Hey Boz, the Broadsheet that used to have a website at www.thebroadsheet.com turned into www.spainalive.com . E-mail the folks at Spainalive and you will get to the broadsheet.
I highly recommend you place a classified ad in InMadrid ( www.in-madrid.com , you can place ads online ) as well as it is even more popular than the Broadsheet (not to mention a lot better and more interesting ).
It is likely that she is not mixing with an English speaking crowd, as her English is not I think so strong (we spoke German),
would she really look in In-Madrid and/or Broadsheet if she does not really soeak English? Just a thought. It;s worth a try, but maybe "20 Minutos" or "Metro" would be a better way to find her. You can put ads in those, and I have seen people looking for people in the ads.

Another obvious place to try and contact her would be through the German Embassy here in Madrid.
Also, you might consider researching any German cultural organizations in the city (for example, I studied German at the German Society in Philadelphia...a great meeting place for Germans and German speakers). She might be involved with some of their social activities...
Good luck!

As stupid as it sounds - did not get that vital piece of info!
I dont think that sounds so stupid. Afterall, how many of us have spent hours elbow to elbow with fellow travelers on an airplane and never say a word to them except to go to the bathroom?
since u know the flight number, seat number and the date i have a suggestion for u.
make friends with a flight attendant when u fly again(it would have to be the same airline) and explain ur situation to her/him. there is a possibility that the FA could pull up the manifest for that flight and email u her name.
from there u could do a search in madrid since u would know her name. this is a loooong shot but if it works could give u at least something more solid to work with. besides ur feelings of course
