ok, since many who live/visit here use them, i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on the cheapest ones (that offer good service of course).

i was inspired to start this discussion thread by an internet cafe that i saw today and that i believe is the cheapest in all of spain. pretty bold statement i know so if anyone knows a cheaper one, post it here.

the one i found is called "unemas" and is at...

puerta del sol, 4, 5th floor, left door.

an office rather than a street-lever one but they have quite a few machines and the equipment is pretty new.

1 hour = 1 euro.
multiple hour tickets ("bonos").
5 hours = 4 euros.
10 hours = 7 euros.
15 hours = 10 euros.

the 15 hour "bono" comes to .666666... euros per hour (under 67 cents) cool

saludos,
jer...

I found a couple of 1 euro/hour places too. One is near Goya, on c/Duque de Sesto. And another on c/La Palma, near Tribunal. I'll get the details next time I'm there.

We used to hang out a lot at the Picadilly Internet Cafe on Gran Via (right next to the big Theater where Mama Mia is playing). It's 1.20/hour.

I think the Montera place is called Ciberfutura. They let you plug in your laptop, too.
