It was not the first time tourists have fallen foul of animals in Spain. Two German visitors were eaten by tigers at the nearby Verger safari park in 1999 after getting out of their car in the wrong spot.
Sounds such a casual mistake

I remember the Germans and the tigers story. An old german couple got out of their car at the Vergel Safari to have a picnic. They chose a great spot under some trees in the shade but didn't realise they were in the tiger area.
Where did they think they were?
Cheers,
Ian

Don't mean to be insensitive to Mrs Richards but, who would put their fingers through that fence, even if they were told it was safe THAT LION WEIGHED OVER 300 KILOS!!!
From the article...
quote:
Mrs Richards was one of a group of 40 British tourists from Benidorm who travelled to the sanctuary
Moral of the story... "DON'T GO TO BENIDORM", see Spain instead!!!
Saludos, jer...
p.d. I thnk the Germans and tigers incident was revenge for what Siegfried & Roy have been doing all these years
