"the man!"

Hey madrilea wannabe, did you go see them? Flamenco moves the passions of the world! So they say. Actually, Antonio Canales is a Flamenco God here in Spain, has spent his entire life dedicated to the art. EVERYONE knows who he is and his work is VERY well known. As for "Eva Mint Leaf" ("yerbabuena" is "mint leaf" in English but the correct spelling is "hierba buena"), I had never heard of her until I read your post but it seems she is pretty popular as well. I am not a big Flamenco fan but like to see it from time to time so maybe some Flamenco nuts will pop into this thread and give us more info on the "Minty" girl Saludos, jer...

Wait a minute! Antonio Canales has returned to the US recently?! I can't believe it. He had a big fiasco at JFK a year ago or so where he was stopping over there during a return trip taking him from S. America to Spain. It was all over the papers and the news here in Spain. I'm sure anyone living here will remember it. I guess our good buddies in immigration felt he looked 'suspect' with his 100% gitano look and all. Anyway, they kind of roughed him up a bit and even strip searched him, which he didn't take too well as I recall... He went on a HUGE verbal tirade saying all sorts of vulgarity about the American government in general. He even went as far as to say that he would wipe his rear with the American flag and never return. Therefore, you have to understand my utter SHOCK to hear that he's been in Texas of all places recently. What a hoot. Yes he is an amazing dancer and flamenco God here, but it would certainly appear that he isn't the man of principle that he apparently claimed to be, huh?! poseso.... Tony --- English Unlimited... Hi buddy, well, I guess "la pela es la pela" (the peseta is the peseta). His love for $$$ has obviously won out over his principles. How rare for someone who is in show biz Saludos, jer...
