i finally have my desktop fixed and will at last be able to get the plaza mayor webcam up and running all day as it used to be
BUT... i need to solve a prob. i am having.
does anyone (ANYWHERE) know of any type of monitor splitter that I can use to have 2 PCs connected to the same monitor.
i am not refering to having 2 monitors on the same PC as I already have that. What I need is a way to have 2 PC monitor cables going into a type of splitter box with a switch so I can flip it and use the monitor to see on PC or the other easily.
I know these boxes exist for parallel ports (I have one at home) but I have been unable to find one for monitors.
i need this to be able to use the desktop that will run the webcam and my laptop with the same monitor i have at home.
Sorry didn't see this post earlier, would have been able to help you out, right, its called a KVM. You can get a two PC one for about $30. A nice feature, is called a soft switch, where after a couple of keystrokes on the keyboard, so get it to switch from one to the other, so you don't have to reach to switch it...
I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

normske, our new multimadrid computer tech (www.webbed-up.com) hooked me up with a link to the "conmutador" (switch) you are talkin about and i found it at www.optize.es (product page HERE) and with the cables and delivery it was 45 euros (25 for the switch, 9 for the cables, 6 for delivery and tax).
should arrive on monday and i will then be able to hook up the webcam full time again
