ok, this is a valid thread since it is about spain but...
why is it that members disappear from posting for soooooooo long and never comment/contribute on so many positive topics and just come out of the woodwork when something politically controversial and negative comes up.
don't mean to sway the topic off-course but it is food for thought and it has bothered me in the past.
TJ, i think this topic would get more action on another more militant spain board i know of
je je je...workin' like a slave!!! and hardly near a computer anymore - - atleast until now - now that I am back in an office!!!
Not trying to be a rabble-rouser. Don't forget, we yankees get a rather narrow focus on politics. A Democrat and Republic must be indescernable to many Europeans. And we don't always appreciate what Spanish newspaper leans what direction.
It's a sincere question.
I cannot imagine the NY Times reporting "Democratic Party lodges complaint after George Bush's Dept. of Justice jails party militant". I don't even know what a party militant is. Is it just an "activist" and ABC uses over-the-top language to stir something up or do Spain's political parties still have militants more akin to those that existed in the beginning of the 20th century?
