Hi all, and yes that's right, you heard correctly.....

"Flamenco videos, Baile y Cante (dancing & singing) FREE!!"

How? Well, I have been using a truly wonderful little facility on the Internet for a good while now, and have been looking at many of Spain’s most notorious and fantastic Flamenco giants, on video, for absolutely zero euros, they are all or mostly donated by adoring fans (aficionados) like me, for the pleasure of the lovers of Music & dance, who haven't seen such gems yet, and would very much like to, or cannot get their hands on such rare footage, either because of availability or sheer cost.

I am going to put just a very few links to some examples of what can be found on the website, which I might add is not only for Flamenco music, but many other forms of musical & Cinematic entertainment too, for example, me and my family are slightly more than ‘Mad’ about certain Opera singers, and various arias, (I’m the only Flamenco Nut in the family, sadly, but they do like the Spanish Zarzuelas I’m glad to say) and so have been really burning the midnight oil on many long cold nights, while watching so many video clips of the likes of Mario Lanza, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Alfredo Kraus, and a few other great Spanish singers, and if you haven't seen Carreras at his best, (as I did in the mid 1970’s) performing in either Covent Garden or the Metropolitan Opera house in the united states, or Lanza for that matter, then you ain’t heard nothing yet. I know that Mario Lanza was Italian, but he used to sing in Castellano like he'd grown up with it, really fantastic singing in both Italian and Spanish.

Just enter in the search box the name of any famous singer/film star, and then check-out all the videos that it brings up on the right hand side. Admitedly some of the video quality isn't great on some clips, on others it's near perfect, but I can say that the better graphics card & memory (amount & type of megs on the card) you have in your pc, the better the quality the picture will be.

This is truly awesome, all this week I've been freaking-out over the likes of Paco de Lucia and Diego El Gastor, Pedro Bacan, Paco Cepera, and a few other great Guitarristas, just check out some of these links and listen to the whole piece by El Gastor, and watch his hands & fingers, he was one of the all time Grand masters of the art. Take a look at some videos of the late great Camaron de La Isla, with either Paco or Tomatito, when he was still at his best, then Please, please, please, please go and have a look at the power & emotion of the dancing of Eva La Yerbabuena...(although it's not shot very well in my opinion, bad zooming technique, incorrect angle for the type of dance form = Palo, he needed to be up a few feet, but shot from lower down) but just the same, you can still see just how phenomenal this woman really is, and it will really make you want to go and see her live, and there is a small video of Antonio Gades in there somewhere, dancing the "Farruca" when he was still young & nimble, he was something else, man!!

Here are the links; have a look at Eva first, and man, what a bunch of guys she has got to back her up, sitting there, hammering-out the “Real McCoy” some really & truly authentic Flamenco playing, the way that it should be played, totally and absolutely unadulterated by fusion, it’s absolutely wonderfully refreshing to see and hear it still being done like this in the 21st century.

Remember, all you need to do is think of a well known name, past or present, (it doesn't matter to me, they're all great, the older artists and the more recent crop of flamenco giants, male & female) enter it into the search box, hit enter, and in seconds you will be presented with dozens of videos and film clips/trailers et cetera. You don’t need to register or join anything to do this, there is no money involved, but you have that option available to you if you want it, I suppose it all depends on how serious you are about what you are seeing and enjoying, and you feel like you’d like to do more.

I hope you are all going to enjoy this as much as I am right now.

Now, back to the records.

Ciao for now.

ANGELO.
