Internet companies always advertise unlimited Internet but do they really mean it. Today I downloaded about 700 meg and expect that I'll download another 1400 tomorrow.

Any idea what upper limits Telefoncia gives you in bandwidth?

thanks in advance

there are no limits on those types of connections (home of office).

the only limits are on mobile connections.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I just turn on the computer and let it run all night.

yes, that is an option.

what the companies do here to keep you from downloading gigas and gigas (mostly via the p2p programs) is block the ports on the routers they give you, hence keeping you from reaching super-fast download speeds.

you can google how to unlock the router if you want. there are tons of forums on this stuff but most in spanish for the routers that the spanish cos give out.

I solved the problem by simply watcing most of the shows online (in a small window unfortunatly) and only downloading shows I really want to watch on the big screen Like Stargate Alantis.

www.sidereel.com

This is the first website I've found that actually works, as I said it's not big screen but for the most part I don't mind.

I aksed my techie nephew and he said that it should take about an hour or so to download. That explains why it takes 15 hours. What I do is hook up the land cable (laptop)and start downloading and leave it over night.
