I am assuming it is crap. It is called the good old bait and switch. They hook you in and then sell you some other service because right now there is no 20 mega adsl available in Madrid.
I confirmed this with a client of mine who works in sales at Timofonica. She said that it is common knowledge that jazzsell doesn't have the capability yet in Madrid, but want to get you on board so that in the future they can sell the package to you.
After getting burned by ya.com (too many incidencias masivas too count) and their undependable internet connection, I am resigned to Timofonica.
I currently have Jizztel and had my horror story problems with Wannadouche, just like Candela had her problems with Ya.com in the early days...
Since I already practically have everything except the line with Jizztel the migration to 100% makes sense for me.
I will sign up as soon as the 20 megas is legitamately available in area.

I've had my concerns about this offer! The week before I left the States RoadRunner (TimeWarner) was offering 10mb download speeds. This was a cable service provider not ADSL. And, all of my experience with both is that cable is much more reliable and faster. My RoadRunner service blew the Ever-Liven pants off any ADSL service I had seen...except if you lived right next door to a CO (central office), which typically looked like little army bunkers.
My roommates and I dicussed this offer this evening and it sounds great...however we use Auno or Auna whatever it's called and this Jizztel thingy isn't available to us.
I'll be interested to see if Jules and Roland's Jazztel service is all it's been advertised to be...good luck!
Well after waiting nearly 4 months for the Jizztel "service" to be connected, I am finally using their 6MB offering, which at times is extremely quick (very late at night, first thing in the morning) but most other times when the contention ratios go up the speeds drop-off considerably. As I signed up for their 4MB service and they switched me automatically to the 6MB offering for no extra charge, I presume they'll do the same when the 20MB service becomes available.
I spend most of my money on beer and women, the rest I just waste.

and you won't notice the difference then either
by the way, now wanadoo is also trying to sell the 20 mega adsl + free calls service and they are offering it for 20 euros/month until jan. 06 but then it goes up to 42 euros/month.
seems odd that if it is true that the 20 megas does not exist in madrid but everyone is selling it. will someone "in the know" please clear this all up
Right now what the people at Jizztel tell you is that for the 20 Megs you have to take their full offer of line and everything.
I have the exact same set up at English Pilot and they claimed that they would not be doing the automatic upgrade for people with the existing Jizztel service and Telefoneeca lines.
The only reason I got a fixed phone line was to connect to the net.

Rocco, so that means that when the 20megs hits your area, you will not be upgraded? did they say you will have to pay for it?

which is still a great deal IF it ends up being 20mb since the 39.95 for the adsl and calls + 12.95 for the landline is still the best deal around.
so, according to you (or what they told you), the 20mb adsl is only available to people who have absolutely no phone or adsl at all, in other word, those who are starting from scratch like Roland&Jules and Wendy?
if what you say is true, their market will be very limited since anyone with a current telefonica landline and/or adsl service will not be a possible client for them
Jazztel is definitely extending the deal to people with Telefonica ADSL. They have been pestering me every week for the last month trying to get me to switch--promising the moon: a 6 hour switchover, no installation fees, 20MBs, half price until 2006, etc. etc.
But I believe Rocco is right. In order to do it, I would have to switch both my ADSL and "fijo" to Jazztel.

hey mariposita, since we only have one example in the works of someone starting from scratch with the jazztel 20mb service (Rol&Jules) so i think you should be our guinea pig and become the first changeover client
don't you love how i so quickly offer you up to the adsl gods
but seriously, i am VERY tempted to do the changeover at home since i am eligible there and i always have (knock on wood) my office adsl and my mobile connect cards as backup.
what was the name of the jazztel employee that is constantly nagging you to change? if you can give me the name and number, i can call and ask for that person and remind them of the guaranteed 6 hour downtime at changeover.
i think i will start a poll on it... "jer, to change or not to change"
