Hello everyone, sadly my local Blockbusters has just closed down (I don't know if it's the same all over Madrid) and I wondered if anyone knows of a service like America's Netflix which sends dvds to your home: there was one called "cineacasa" but it seems to have gone off line. Any ideas anyone?

hey scooter.

i did a search on "dvd rental" and came up with the results page HERE.+

have a look, especially at the "Video/dvd rental??" thread.

i mention a service on the first page of that thread called www.digitae.com , you may want to try it out.

read the 3 pages of the thread and you may get a lot out of it.

i also googled "reparto de dvd a casa madrid" and got some interesting sites, including http://alquilerdvd.cine.yahoo.es

saludos,
jer...

Here in the UK a company called sofacinema hire out dvds via the postal service. It has a good selection of foreign language films, which is why I joined their trial offer. I wonder if an entrepreneur could start something similar in Madrid? Even with downloads entering the market, it's still a good feeling to have a new film arrive in your letterbox...

Ahh. should have looked at Jer's link first. MediaXpress already do this - I can recommend people giving this a go if they want to watch hired dvds..
