i was posting this at the same time as Rocco and he must have sent his just before me. some info in my post is repeated but some is more in-depth than Rocco's. _________________________________________________ hey pim, if nobody has one for you, you can probably get the back issues at their offices. the magazine is put out by the same people who do do "hot english magazine". i have been there and they are right off the Latina metro stop at C/ Estudios n 9, Office 205. tel.: 91 354 0621 the espaol ya website is on their hot english site at www.hotenglishmagazine.com/YA/contenidorevista.htmalthough espaol ya is free now, they will most likely begin selling it within a year as they did with hot english when it got popular. your boss can subscribe to espaol ya at www.hotenglishmagazine.com/YA/dondelocal.htm if he does not mind paying, that way he will never miss an issue (and even better, you will not have to hunt down the issues for him ). saludos, jer...

OH MY GOD!!!pim, you can send me a bill!!! really though, you totally needed to start a new thread on this one!!! thanks for the tip here anyway. well, most of them look a bit over-elaborated to me, but the "new york" looks good... ...although i am not big on salmon, i prefer lox-spread. why oh why can't i get a good new york bagel with cream cheese and tomatoes in madrid!!! i actually went to one just like quartertime but it was in barcelona. i think it was "the bagels & coffee company" ( HERE) and it was a mediocre bagel at best. gonna have to try quartertime soon. saludos, jer...

well, i was in the area today and i went to "quartertime" today to have a bite to eat and try their bagels. i did not know that they make all the bagel sandwiches in the morning (or the night before by the looks of them on the shelves ) and plastic wrap them and put them out on the shelves. once they are gone, they are gone and they do not make more until closing (for the next day). the worst part is that they only make like 10 of each type and don't let the pics on their website fool ya, the real thing is skiiiiiiimpyyyyy!!! so, the only "bagel" left was a "mixto" and it was just about as good as a plastic wrapped "sandwich mixto" from a convenience store. all in all, the bagels there get a i was still hungry after the 3 mini bagelette so i had a double decker chicken sandwich which was actually very tasty but steep at nearly 5 i know why they put that place where they did, it sis right around the corner from the "instituto internacional de madrid" where syracuse uni. and a few other schools have their madrid programs. when i went at 3:00pm, "quartertime" was PACKED out with american students. also, i just went to try it out but at nearly 10 for the whole meal (had a can of nestea at 1.20), it may be called "quartertime" but it costs nearly "doublethecash" as some great menus del da i know. live and learn!!! saludos, jer...
