Hi! Does anyone know the orginal title of the Spanish film that was remade by Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz? Saw the trailer for Vanilla Sky- looks interesting. Would like to see Spanish version too
The original was called "Abre los Ojos" directed by Alejandro Amen�bar (the other famouse Spanish director although born in Cuba) starring "P�" (nickname for Penelope Cruz) and Eduardo Noriega. Confusing but a good flick in my opinion. I have not yetr seen Vanilla Sky but saw the trailer as well on the Apple Quicktime movie trailers website (www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/vanilla_sky). I recommend the original if you can get it where you live.
I like Amen�bar as a director in general and just saw his most recent flick "Los Otros" ("The Others") and liked it a lot. If you are interested, his "Opera Prima" (first movie) was called "T�sis" ("Thesis") and while very "fuerte" (for the strong stomached", was well done.
