Hey madrilea wannabe, great flick, saw it like 6 times! I even used to show it to my students in class when I taught high school back in the good old U.S.A. Spanish village all hyped up for the visit of the Marshall Plan burocrats (and the possibility of funding up the wazoo) and the best part was in the end when .... Jejejejej, would i spoil it for you all Here is some web stuff: * www.todocine.com/mov/00110144.htm * www.blockbuster.com/bb/movie/details/0,7286,VID-V+++146202,00.html? and the winner is.... http://libros.netstoreusa.com/1210/2500/2500010007603.shtml - YES! They have it for sale on video and will ship to the U.S.A. Be careful, it says "PAL European Standard" on the web site so you will either have to own a dual VCR (for viewing both PAL & NTSC) or get the tape converted to NTSC. Oh yeah, and check this out ---> CLICK HERE! (I could only find it in French ) Saludos, jer...

Hey madrilea wannabe, as for your private message to me on this, I would have preferred that you had posted it here instead since it did not contain anything too persoanl for the world to see. Anyway, I think you misundestood my post above. The poster I linked to is only in French but the website at http://libros.netstoreusa.com/1210/2500/2500010007603.shtml sells the movie IN SPANISH. As I said, buy it there and then have it converted from the European format to the U.S. format so you can see it on your VCR (if your VCR is not dual that is, if it is no conversion of the tape is needed). The copy I used to teach with was mine and I had taped it years ago when it was on TV in Spain and I was here in Madrid studying for my masters degree. Unfortunately I left it in the U.S.A. when I moved back here in order to lighten the luggage thing. Saludos, jer...

Hi! There's an old shop that appeared in the news in MadridDirecto located at Carlos Martn lvarez street, near the corner with Arroyo del Olivar. In this shop there are thousands of VHS and even BETA films to buy . The films are of first and second hand. If you are very interested in one old film maybe I could ask them if they have it (or ask them their phone for your). I'm sure that they don't ship films to the U.S. but if any ex-pat here in Madrid is looking for an old film, maybe this is the shop.

Hey madrilea wannabe, I hateto rain on yer parade so soon but when they do come out with the movie on DVD it will be distributed by a Spanish production company and the DVD format will be European and will not work in your PC's DVD player Did you know that the DVDs are different for Europe and the U.S.A.? Yep, another dirty rotten industry trick to make more $$$ and piss us off. I doubt that an American production company will put out a U.S. format version, not worht their time and money to produce it for the so few who will want to buy it while here in Spain, everyone is asking for it and can't wait for it to come out. Oh well, I am sure you will work it out and get the movie sooner or later. Saludos, jer...

Juan Antonio Bardm passed away today He was a legend in Spanish cinema and patriarch of the well known Bardms of Spanish film (most of you on the other side of the Atlantic will have heard of the young Javier Bardm as he has worked in Hollywood). Juan Antonio co-wrote "Bienvenido Mr. Marshall" along with Berlanga. His classics were "Calle Mayor" and "Muerte de un Ciclista", both WELL worth seeing. HERE is the Google.com results page for a search ![[search]](graemlins/search.gif) on his name for those of you interested in learning more. Saludos, jer...
