Hi Boricua, you came to the right place my friend The eurodircet phone card seen and sold at www.europhonecards.org is THE BEST card going right now for calling from Spain to USA, Canada, Australia and most of Europe (see the website for a full list of countries). 3.5 eurocents/minute anytime of any day, no connection fees nor hidden charges. Can't beat that with a stick The card is reliable and connecting is easy. The only problem you may have is on Sunday nights when EVERYONE is calling and it is hard to get a line out. Aside from the phone card option, the phone cos. here have all types of calling plans you can get on but most require a monthly fee and they are not as cheap as the eurodirect card. I hae been using the card from my home land line for a loooooong time and nothing beats it for reliability and cost effectiveness. Saludos, jer...

Hey zekieboo, I am the only one who sells the card as far as I know. There are other cards but none nearly as good. You cna buy it in Madrid (see the website at www.europhonecards.org for location) or online. quote: "I'm coming back to Spain in June, this time to visit Barcelona"
Sounds great. Ever think about giving back to the board and letting us know about your last trip to Madrid? Always nice to give a little back to the site that helps you so much, no? Saludos, jer...

hey gang, not to dip into ole jer's card biz, but i am in love with my calling service from alo. my phone bill has been cut way in half. don't know about prices to europe, but i get 6 cents to the us of a and that is fine with me. i really am lazy times seventeen billion and can't be bothered with a card and all those digits you have to press. also it is a pain to have to always go out and buy the card. also alo gives you up to half off on local calls and provincial calls. the only time alo's discount doesn't work is with those 900 numbers. i suppose if i wasn't the aforementioned lazy slug, i could stock up on cards and then fall back on alo when they run out. also, i have internet through alo too...it is a dialup but it is FAST...swoosh. i have a gig for 16 euros a month and unlimited time from 6pm to 6am. since that is when i am home and awake, it works for me. anyway, there web is www.alo.es and the customer service number is 902 107 701. i saw an tv ad with a regular toll fee number but i don't remember what it was. also, if you are spanglishly challenged como yo, let me know..my best gal pal works at alo in customer service, i can hook you up with her. xoxo Candela

Jejejejeje... quote: "...can't be bothered with a card and all those digits you have to press"
Hmmmmmmm... sounds like you got money to burn babe Seriously though, to get a 3.5 cent./min. rate over a 6, I will push all the buttons I have to, may even jog a few dials :jeje: But seriously, Alo sounds like a good deal for for not having to use a card. Just a few questions... 1) Do you have to pay any monthly fee to have that 6 cent./min. rate or is the plan free and you just pay what you spend on calls? 2) To your knowledge, is there any connction fee on successful connections? Curious minds wanna know. Saludos, jer...

Hey eduardo, yes, they used to give you 3 months but have reduced it to 45 days. Most other cards expire in 30 days so 45 is not bad. If you buy a 6 card odds are you will use it in less than 45 days. I also sell the 6 card for 5.50 to multimadridians Aside from my office hours I am at the office most Mondays & Wednesdays beteen 5:50 and 6:10pm (just 20 minutes) if you can stop by then. Call me if you like on 656266844 to assure I will be there. Saludos, jer...

OMG!!! I just got the news from the manufacturer of the "eurodirect" calling card and starting this weekend the rate has dropped from 3.5 urocents per minute to 3 cents So, the 6 Euro card, when used with the toll free access #s, now gets you 200 minutes from a land line (payphone or private phone) in Spain to a... land line or cell phone in USA, Canada and Australia. land line in most of Europe. They also added many far eastern countries including China to the list of 3 cent/min countries. This will be the rate until further notice, no strings attached and still no connection fees and the rate drops even MORE to 2.75 cents/minute if you come to buy them at my office since I still sell the 6 cards for 5.50 each UNREAL!!! Saludos, jer... (to half borrow a motto "connecting cool people )

update on the eurodirect calling card ( www.europhonecards.org ). unbelievably, they have added even more minutes to the card. using the toll-free access number, you now get 300 minutes (5 hours) on a 6 euro card and 600 minutes (10 hours) on a 12 euro card when calling from a private landline (home phone, hotel/hostel phone, etc...). yep, comes to 2 cents/min saludos, jer...
