SP 501 is the lowest level class, 502 is the standard, 601 is the "super-smart kid" class.... Although I have heard from many of the 601ers that it is too much stylistics and not the hard core grammar review they were looking for...502 is just that-it is VERY helpful...take it with BORDON, not Mari luz Guerrierez. 601 is not the "super-smart kid" class at all. When I was at Middlebury (2000), that was the class that all of the people who hd studied in Spain before placed in. Problem was that if you did extensive study in Latin America, that the majority of the words on the PLACEMENT TEST truly were foreign. So, in my opinion, if you placed in 601, you are not SMART at all. It just meant that you spent the majority of your study abroad time in Spain. Punto y aparte, Shawn
