Hopefully this hasnt been asked before,

In the states I love studying at random spots outside of the usual, desk in my bedroom or library type place. I used to go to coffeeshops, parks, Ive even studied in hotel lobbys and hospitals (when you need a place to study in the middle of the night during finals)

Anyways, how do students study here in Madrid. Do most just do it at home, or in a library or not at all. Would it be wierd for me to take my books to the park or sit at a cafe or something to do some work?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Hi Jowila,
Spain is a student friendly country. You see students everywhere lounging with their books. I noticed students reading at the RENFE train station, the Museo del Prado, cafe's, cybercafes, the Metro, Ondablue, the famous cyber laundry, just about everywhere. Take your book anywhere you like and enjoy! Wink

Hey jowilla, I TOTALLY agree with Booklady, Spain is a very nice place to study. There is an awesome student atmosphere here Big Grin

As someone who studied a Masters abroad here in Madrid and then part of a Doctorate, I can tell you first hand that this is a great city for students (as are many cities in Spain).

I am also a person who can study just about anywhere and I used to enjoy parking my "culito" at various places in the Retiro with the books cracked Big Grin

I love studying outdoors! Nothing like reading a book while basking in the sun down in the Plaza Mayor! Cool

Not sure how the Spanish study, I guess like everyone else, but you will not stand out if you bring your books to the park Smiler

I think study habbits depend more on the type of student that one is and less on their nationality, Hay de todo!

Saludos,
