Hi,

Take a look at the previous posting for some good hints on how to start searching for schools. Try britishcouncil.es to get a full list of British schools in Spain plus info. on the new biligual program in public schools (free schools with joint Spanish and British programs).

As for special schools, I don't know anything about that, but in the Ministry of Education lists of schools, they indicate which schools have a program. For having a child with any kind of discapacity, you also get extra points for your other children when trying to get them into subsidised private schools ("Colegios Concertados").

Good luck with your search and let us know how it goes!

Hi jimcasa, Val is right, the thread HERE could help for that info although it deals with bilingual schools in general.

I just did a search on Google for info on "escuelas para discapacitados en Espaa" and similiar phrases and while I hit a lot of dead ends Frowner I did find one site that looks like a perfect place for you to start Big Grin It is at www.discapnet.es and their page on education is at www.discapnet.es/graficos/guias/educacion

You may also want to call or write to one or more of the following govt. agencies:

Subdireccin General de Educacin Especial y de Atencin a la Diversidad.
C/Los Madrazo, 15-17. 28014 Madrid.
Tel.: 91 521 28 10; 91 522 11 00; 91 531 47 35

Centro Nacional de Recursos para la Educacin Especial.
C/General Ora, 55. 28006 Madrid.
Tel.: 91 562 06 08; 91 562 11 90.

 Ministerio de Educacin y Cultura.
C/Alcal, 34-36. 28012 Madrid.
Tel.: 91 522 11 00.
Web: www.mec.es

Good luck and let us know how the search goes. One tip, you will need to read Spanish to get results with this.

Saludos & best of luck,
jer...
