Hello everyone! First, I must say that I was absolutely ecstatic about finding this sight! I came to Spain back in 2001 for what was supposed to be a 10-wk study abroad trip in Santander, and ended up staying a year. I stayed until I ran out of money, my car and health insurance had lapsed, and my parents threatened to send the FBI after me, then made the "responsible" decision to go back to the states. Have been regretting it ever since. Since my friends and family think I need "professional help" to deal with this "Spain obsession" I have, I was thrilled to find others equally "obsessed" as I am with the country! Big Grin

Now my question ... can anyone who has attended the NYU program in Madrid tell me how important your scores on the GRE were? I spoke to someone at the Spanish department in New York, who said that they are just a "formality," and I'm wondering how true that statement is. I'm applying this winter to hopefully start in the fall of 2005 ... although it's a ways off, I'm COUNTING THE DAYS!!!

I'm also counting down the days until my vacation begins July 25, and I fly to Spain for 10 days! Are there going to be any MM get-togethers or Salsa dancing? Although i just joined this sight today, I've been following the posts for a while and would love to meet some of you!

Hasta pronto.....
